CASA in its current inception was established in July of 2004. The original program, Glen Park After School Educational Enrichment Program, was created in 1981 by a group of parents seeking on-site after school care.

The program quickly developed into something much more special than basic childcare. We were moved by the San Francisco Unified School District from Glen Park School to Rooftop School in 1997.

In 2004 CASA broke away from a former fiscal sponsor to become an independent nonprofit. CASA has flourished since our move to Rooftop School.
