Leslie Einhorn is the director and head theater teacher of CASA. Leslie studied acting and playwriting at Antioch College in Ohio, Sarah Lawrence College and HB Studios in New York. Leslie moved to San Francisco in 1993 after graduating from Sarah Lawrence. She taught playwriting at Adda Clevenger Junior Preparatory and Theater School before settling in at CASA in 1995. At the time, CASA was located at Glen Park School (the program was formerly called Glen Park After School Program) under the wonderful direction of Tessa Loehwing. In 1997 CASA moved to Rooftop School and Leslie became the director. In the last ten years, Ms. Einhorn has been thrilled to be surrounded by the two most inspirational elements in her life- kids and art. She continues to create the program that she wishes she could have attended as a child.

Outside of CASA, Leslie is a writer and performer whose work has been seen throughout the Bay Area. She has taught theater to children at New Conservatory Theatre Center, Summer GATE, and at various schools as a visiting artist. She teaches classes to adult actors through the all women’s Shakespeare company, Women’s Will.
